As we gear up for swim season we want to encourage you to consider serving ILBC as a stroke and turn official. Our team is required to provide these at each meet- home and away. The more officials we have trained the more we can share the load. This counts towards your family's volunteer obligations- including any shadow sessions. 

Questions or wondering if it's for you?

You do NOT need to be a swim expert or even a former swimmer. There is great training and opportunities to shadow current judges before going solo. S&T Only --Thurs May 29th 7-8:30pm Harbor Hills Clubhouse, Davidsonville

S&T Only -- Tues June 3rd 7-8:30pm Bay Hills Clubhouse

S&T + Starter -- Wed June 4th: 7-8:30pm (ST), 8:30-9:15 (S) Bay Ridge Clubhouse

S&T + Starter -- Sun June 8th: 11-12:30pm (ST), 12:30-1:15 (S) Indian Hills Clubhouse

S&T + Starter -- Mon June 8th: 7-8:30pm (ST), 8:30-9:15 (S) Indian Hills Clubhouse

S&T Only -- Wed June 11th: 7-8:30pm, Location TBD

S&T + Starter -- Thur June 19th: 7-8:30pm (ST), 8:30-9:15 (S) Location TBD

The June 19th session is after the season kicks off- if you are interested but not ready to commit to training you can join us on deck as an apprentice to check it out before going to training- the Red White meet is a great time to do this!

Certification Procedure/To Sign Up:

1. Pick the Date and Location that is best for you.

3. Sign the attendance sheet on the day of your training.

Upon completion of the in-person training session your name will be added to the list of certified officials for this season.

Only GASL approved officials will be permitted to judge competition.

*Returning officials will need to attend training unless USA/Y certified*

Already USA Swimming/Y Certified?

Current USA Swimming/Y certified officials should please complete the above form and also submit a copy of their credential at the above link to be listed as a GASL official. You do not need to attend GASL training.
